The Iron Box Of Stigma

I carry with me an iron box;
A part of me hidden inside,
triple locked
As people don’t want me to unleash
My angel devil from the box;
They think it should be hidden.

Within the iron box
Of mental illness stigma
Lies my black and white diamond locked,
Hidden from judging eyes,
Prejudice and misunderstanding.

My diamond cannot shine
For fear of being despised.
I fear my diamond will be thrown into faraway seas
But I have to be brave and unleash to the world
My special black and white diamond;
I choose to unlock the iron box.

Horrible Bliss

I was dancing and flying
On air, not clouds
Up above in a heavenless sky
Of lightning and psychotic shrouds.

Before there was angel’s song
And nothing was wrong
Up above in crystal clouds.
I was moon
Instead of lightning bolt.

My life is a rocky rollercoaster-
No handlebar exists.
No safety or comfort,
Just the sense of the
Vulnerability of wrists.

I devote myself to the
Beautifully frightening abyss.
My soul has been fried and toasted-
It used to inhabit Depression’s abyss
Before it departed for Horrible Bliss.

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

I am extremely grateful and honoured that Phoenix at http://phoenixtherebirthofmylife.wordpress.com nominated me for Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award.

I have decided to nominate women bloggers who are inspirational and tackle a variety of topics such as mental health, feminism and music. I think this award is a great opportunity from women across the world and of different cultures to come together and celebrate the writing of girls and women.

Here are the steps I need to go through to collect my award:
