This pretty much sums it up.
This is a very chilled song with great lyrics by Sting about the relief that people with Bipolar get from being on medication and knowing they will be able to recover.
So much amor for The Verve and this song is just…
I am starting to wonder whether I was born in the wrong era.
I am hooked on Jimi Hendrix right now. I feel like he has changed the way I view music and because he was such a fantastic guitarist and his songs are so great I have now got much higher standards with regard to music. I cannot express more how much I think he was an incredibly talented individual and frankly a legend. (He certainly is going in my personal Hall of Fame for talented people)
My favourite songs by Jimi so far are Crosstown Traffic, Angel, Little Wing, Manic Depression, Gypsy Eyes, Wild Thing, The Wind Cries Mary, Voodoo Child and Purple Haze.
Also, as a fellow English person I am of course incredibly proud that Pink Floyd hailed from our beloved island. As an aspirant poet of course I am a sucker for incredible lyrics and not only are their lyrics incredible but they seem to have experimented a lot with the way they created music.
My favourite songs by Pink Floyd so far would be Time, Wish You Were Here, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Brain Damage, High Hopes, Learning To Fly, The Cut, Eclipse, The Great Gig In The Sky, Money.
I have been refining my music taste a lot recently and looking back I feel like for a long time I was missing out on so much of the classic music like Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Velvet Underground, The Smiths, Nirvana, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, David Bowie etc.
I totally haven’t been raiding my parents’ CD collections in pursuit of classic music as well as possibly also spending too much money on some modern stuff and French and Italian indie stuff.
This is probably my favourite song by the wonderful songstress Lucy Rose. I am currently hooked on her cupcake voice and haunting songs. She’s got me into Folk Rock. http://youtu.be/a4EWd1XyG4g
If you like folk I highly recommend this song. The lyrics are great, her voice is like a glass of Bailey’s and it’s a super catchy tune. http://youtu.be/acQPz4Xj0KU
